She stopped for a quick break, planting the shovel in the ground. Seemed like filling in a grave was even harder than digging one somehow. Made no sense to think that way since it was the same amount of earth, but still. Each shovelful felt twice as heavy as it did before.
A faint whimper caught her attention. Peering down into the half-filled hole, she smiled brightly at the terrified, bound and gagged young man.
“Aw sweetie, don’t be like that! I went to a lot of trouble to make this for you, you know! Enjoy it! It’s all yours.”
